Flora's Story

Flora is an incredible mother cat whose only priority was keeping her babies safe. Although we don't know exactly how long she had been living outdoors, she managed to protect and care for her three kittens. Capucine, Marguerite, and Rose until they were rescued by a kind-hearted woman from a construction site. Thanks to her dedication, all four are now safe and beginning a brand-new chapter.

Flora is scheduled to be spayed on Monday, June 22, 2026. During her appointment, she will also receive her FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, a parasite treatment, a microchip, and a full veterinary examination. She will need approximately two weeks to recover from surgery before she is ready to head to her forever home.

Flora will need to return to our veterinary clinic in Wakefield for her FVRCP booster vaccination. This appointment will take place between July 20 and August 3, 2026, depending on the veterinarian's recommendation following her surgery. Adopters must be available to bring her to this appointment, as completing her vaccine series is an important part of keeping her healthy.

At TNR La Peche, our adoption fee includes spay surgery, vaccinations, parasite treatment, a microchip, and all routine veterinary care. Flora's adoption fee is $275. In reality, we spend considerably more than this on every cat we rescue, but we believe cost should never stand in the way of giving cats the best possible start in life.

Sadly, mother cats are often the last to be adopted. While kittens usually find homes quickly, their moms can wait monthsand in some cases, over a yearfor someone to give them a chance. We hope Flora's story will be different. She has already proven what a devoted, resilient, and loving cat she is, and now it's her turn to be the one who is cared for.

If you think beautiful Flora would be the perfect addition to your family, we'd love to hear from you. Please email us at tnr.lapeche@gmail.com to begin the adoption process.

--

At TNR La Pêche, we have a thorough adoption process to ensure that each cat finds a loving and responsible home that meets their needs. Adoption Process: 1. Application Submission – Potential adopters must complete an adoption application, providing details about their home, lifestyle, and experience with pets. 2. Application Review – Our team carefully reviews each application to ensure a good match between the adopter and the cat. 3. Interview & Discussion – We may contact applicants for a follow-up discussion to clarify details and ensure they understand our adoption policies. 4. Home Environment Consideration – We require that all adopted cats live indoors only to ensure their safety and well-being. 5. Meet & Greet – If the application is approved, adopters have the opportunity to meet the cat and ask any questions before finalizing the adoption. 6. Adoption Agreement & Fee – Approved adopters sign an adoption contract agreeing to provide proper care, and they pay an adoption fee that helps cover veterinary expenses. 7. Adoption – The adopter will be able to pick up their new cat. Our goal is to ensure the best possible match for both the cat and the adopter, leading to a successful and lifelong adoption.
