UPDATE 7/2025<br/><br/>This is truly heart-wrenching<br/><br/>Little Flora has been with us for almost a year now. She came in as a tiny, helpless baby-so small she couldn&#39;t even eat on her own. One of our caring staff members fostered her for a short time just to keep her alive. But since then, the rest of her young life has been spent in a cage at the shelter.<br/><br/>Now, at 11 1/2 months old, we&#39;re starting to see the sadness in her eyes. Flora is getting depressed and who could blame her? Growing up in a shelter is no life for a kitten.<br/><br/>Despite it all, Flora is still curious, playful, and spunky. While it&#39;s always with the best intentions, sometimes the kindest thing to do for a kitten is to wait. Often, a mama cat is nearby, and keeping kittens with her for at least 6-8 weeks allows them to learn important life lessons!<br/>Flora missed some of those early lessons from her mama, so she&#39;s looking for an experienced cat person to help her adjust and learn manners. She is a dominant female cat for sure!
