Flicker's Story
Meet Flicker — the gentlest little spark waiting to glow.

Flicker is a delicate, sensitive kitten who is still learning that the world can be soft, safe, and kind. She’s naturally shy and prefers to tuck herself away until she’s absolutely sure everything is okay—but every day, she’s taking brave, beautiful steps forward.

Recently, Flicker started purring, and it’s the sweetest sound. She’s not ready to be held yet, but she’s beginning to enjoy gentle pets and quiet companionship. She may give a tiny “baby hiss” when she’s unsure, but it’s all part of her process as she learns to trust.

Flicker would thrive with a patient adopter who understands that the best bonds are built slowly and tenderly. She’s made wonderful progress—she no longer hides when her foster mom comes in the room, and when she’s let out to explore, her hiding time has gone from two hours to about forty minutes. Every day is a small victory for her.

Because she can lean on bolder cats a little too much, Flicker would benefit from being separated from her siblings to help her continue blooming. She do well with a young, playful but calm, low-energy feline friend. A high-energy buddy, young children or dogs would likely overwhelm her.

Flicker is the kind of kitten who will steal your heart quietly, gently, and forever. If you have a peaceful home, a soft voice, and a patient soul, this special little girl may be the perfect match for you.

*Please note that most of our kitties will only be adopted out in pairs or to a home with an existing cat or furry companion--dependent upon what is best for them.

If you are interested in adopting Flicker, you can find our Adoption Application and more information about our adoption process at http://www.kittycrusaide.org/adopt.
