Fitzherbert's Story
Meet Fitzherbert! He is a gentle soul seeking a patient family. If you're looking for a majestic companion who radiates quiet elegance, Fitzherbert is your guy with a stunning long-haired grey coat of fur. He is the definition of a "gentle giant." He is quite a shy and humble fellow, he doesn't demand the spotlight. Instead he prefers to observe the world until he feels truly safe. Fitzherbert isn't so much about "zoomies", he can be nervous in new environments or around loud noises. He is looking for a "slow-speed" home where he can blossom at his own pace. While he is still learning to trust humans, Fitzherbert finds his greatest confidence through his feline friends. He is a social butterfly when it comes to other cats and relies on them for emotional support. Because of this, he has a few specific requests for his forever family:
A Feline Best Friend: This is a must! Fitzherbert needs a home with at least one other friendly, confident cat. He thrives on "cuddle puddles" and looks to other cats to show him that the world isn't so scary.
Patience is Key: His new family should understand that "love at first sight" might take a few weeks (or months) to turn into "pets at first sight." He needs humans who are happy to just coexist with him until he’s ready to reach out.
A Peaceful Environment: A quiet household without young children or high-energy dogs would be the best fit for his nervous system.

There is nothing more rewarding than the first time a shy cat like Fitzherbert decides to trust you. Apply to meet this sweet boy!

Estimated DOB is July 15, 2018.

---
All of our kittens are currently in Foster Homes. They are not at our facility. Adoption counselors can arrange for you to meet the kittens once your application is approved. Kittens will be pre-adopted pending spay/neuter and may not be available for a few weeks.
Deposits will only be accepted once an application has been approved and meetings have taken place.
Deposits made PRIOR to approval are not refundable and will NOT hold a kitty for you. Kittens through 6 months $125 or 2 for $200; Kitties over 6 months $100 or 2 for $150.
---
Our Adoptable Kittens ARE NOT FERAL. We take them from the streets at a young age, and some are feral at the time of rescue. However, we spend many hours taming, socializing, and acclimating them to indoor life as a pet cat. They are currently friendly, healthy, and playful kittens who are just waiting for their special someone to take them home. All of our kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites.
---
Adoption App:
http://www.focusonferals.org/adopt/adoption-application/
