Fireheart's Story

I'm a goofy 3 yr old neutered male who was rescued in a house fire. That's right, I survived a house fire by hiding and dodging the flames. I was found after the fire dept put out the fire...terrified, soaked and covered in soot. I'm not sure what was worse, my neglected and miserable life before the fire or experiencing the fire itself. Life got much better after arriving at Kaleidoscope, although it was a rough start. My lungs were sick, I was covered in fleas, I slept a lot. But now, I really like breakfast and dinner time, I get to have food all my own every day! I've had fun learning what toys are and I like exploring. And, I really like catnip toys! But most of all, I love the attention of humans...I never got that before and I just love getting pets and snuggles and human playtime! Last but not least, I tested positive for FIV. But, please don't stop reading! It's just an autoimmune disease that doesn't change my loving heart at all! I'm not contagious to humans and will live a normal life like any other kitty...just with a little extra tlc when I'm under the weather. I'm not contagious to other kitties either, as long as I don't get into any big fights. I'm not really a fan of other kitties anyways, so I'd be the perfect mate for anyone who wants a lap cat that also has a fun, playful personality!
