Fiona and her 3 littermates were found at a feral cat colony when they were just weeks old. They were too young to be returned to the site, so they were temp fostered until they could come to Heartland. Like her sister, Emmy, Fiona is a shy and timid little soul, but she's very docile and sweet. She's just not very confident and her first reaction to people has been to run away, but she's getting much better at that and is learning that humans are good and not something to fear.<br/><br/>Over the past several months, she has come out of her shell quite a bit and is much more interactive and engaging with people now. She enjoys playing with toys and hanging out with her kitty friends. Fiona LOVES canned food and it's definitely the way to her heart. She really wants to be brave and seek affection, but she just needs time and patience to do so on her terms and time. She adores other kitties, including her sister, so being in a home with a confident, friendly cat would be ideal to help her feel more comfortable and at ease. I would love for her and Emmy to be adopted together as they are quite bonded. No young kids as she would easily frighten from them. She may do fine with a cat-friendly, calm dog.
