Finch's Story

Pokey & Finch: A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home Some friendships are just meant to be. Pokey and Finch have formed a special bond during their time at the shelter, and they're hoping to find a loving home where they can stay together. Finch and his brothers were living with a lady who had way too many cats. One day, over 20 cats and kittens from this house were brought to Paws Animal Shelter so they could receive the care they needed. Finch is a big boy, and he's incredibly sweet. He loves to be petted and to play, especially with fishing pole toys. While Finch adores people, Pokey has become his best feline friend. These two can often be found snuggled up together, grooming each other, and keeping one another company throughout the day. Their sweet relationship is impossible to miss, and it's clear that they take comfort and joy in being together. Pokey has been waiting at the shelter for quite some time, and Finch has been there for a year and a half. We'd love nothing more than to see these two finally get the happy ending they deserve. If you're looking for double the love, double the companionship, and two cats who already know how to be the perfect roommates, Pokey and Finch may be the pair for you. Open your heart and home to this devoted duo, and you'll gain two loyal friends for life. Adoption note: Pokey and Finch are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Note from Paws humans: To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt

Paws Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

We do not do same-day adoptions, as we have an adoption application which must be completed and verified. We do not allow declawing of any of our animals even after they are adopted, and you must sign a contract agreeing to this (we sometimes take cats in who have already been declawed). We also require that all of the cats and kittens adopted from us must be kept exclusively indoors.
