Figgy's Story

Figgy is a lot of fun and affectionate, while good at entertaining herself. This petite panther female has plenty of kitten energy and zooms around showing off her athleticism. She loves windows and tracking birds, and so needs secure windows. She will be a bit shy at first in a new space yet toys, treats, and gentle voices are the way to her heart. Figgy is a champion headbutter - it is her favorite way to show affection. Just put your hand out and she happily butts it to start the petting marathon. Figgy has short fur and barely sheds. She doesn't like being carried or held yet loves cuddling with you. Once Figgy trusts you, she is unabashed in her claim to a spot right next to you. Just everything needs to be her idea - or this determined little Taurus needs to think it is. She loves to lay on her back next to you but isn’t inviting you to pet her tummy - she just trusts you and is very comfy looking like a turtle. Figgy has good bed manners and waits until your alarm sounds to help wake you up. Sometimes when you pet her head, she goes into “downward dog” and sticks her butt in the air while shaking her tail - it's adorable! Figgy is afraid of boots or quickly moving feet and will quickly hop up on a couch, chair or storage cube to feel safe. We do not recommend her for a home with children. She is very particular about which cats she likes so would be fine solo as long as she gets plenty of attention. Found as a stray in New Jersey, she was born around May 18 2021. Figgy loves deeply when she trusts and you couldn't ask for a more loyal forever companion!

Anjellicle Cats Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is as follows. We have all interested adopters complete an application which can be found on our website www.anjelliclecats.com. Please note some foster caregivers are comfortable introducing you to their cat via FaceTime or similar platform. Others still prefer a hand-to-paw meeting. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend a seminar in cat care that lasts about 75 minutes. We invite both experienced and novice alike and are presently offering this as a Zoom session. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows and a generally safe environment for a cat. Then we coordinate pick up by the adopter or drop off by the foster, depending on what both parties are comfortable doing. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, and $75 for one cat 7 years and older. This fee includes initial shots, microchipping, deworming, and spay/neuter.
