Fig's Story

*** If you would like to meet Fig, the first step is to fill out an adoption application, which you can find at https://bit.ly/pigtowncats (you'll need to copy/paste the URL) ***

Fig is a very handsome, friendly kitty who was rescued off the streets of Baltimore just before the big snowstorm. He had a very painful abscess on his leg that was making it difficult for him to walk and the nice people feeding him were very worried about him, so reached out for help. After some TLC and antibiotics, Fig is all healed up and ready to find an indoor home!

With his big yellow eyes and amazing whiskers, not to mention his distinguished tuxedo outfit, Fig is a natural to have his own Instagram account. He also has a very cute repertoire of little chirps and meows, and he's an expert at giving headbutts and making biscuits. He also has the SOFTEST fur you've ever felt. (Follow him for skincare tips!)

He's a very affectionate guy, but is a bit timid and unsure of himself, so he’ll need some time and patience to settle in somewhere new and would likely do best in a relatively quiet home. He doesn't mind other cats, and although he has lived with dogs he's a bit intimidated by them. (Very chill dogs might be OK though.) He likely would find young kids scary, but older kids might be OK.

The vet guessed that he is around 3-4 years old; still quite young, but out of the "young adult" stage, so he's a cat who's just happy to hang out with you and "help" with whatever you're doing. He was already neutered when rescued, but has now had his vaccines updated and is tested negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped. More photos to come as he gets settled into his foster home.

Fig is not part of Walter Rescue but is being listed here as a courtesy.
