Fig's Story
Meet Fig - A Tiny Survivor with the Biggest Heart

Fig may be small, but his story is nothing short of extraordinary.

This sweet little kitten was brought into a local veterinary emergency hospital after being found outside in extreme cold and snow, weak and unable to walk normally. Shortly after arrival, his skin began to slough due to what we believe was severe frostbite. With the help of an incredible ER team and continued care through Pawsitive Hope, Fig fought his way through multiple procedures, infection treatment, and weeks of intensive care.

And through it all-he never lost his spirit.

Today, Fig is a happy, playful, affectionate kitten who truly loves everyone he meets. You would never guess everything he's been through.

Fig absolutely adores other animals. He loves playing with his foster brother Milo, respectfully gives space to his older foster sister, and even enjoys romping around with his foster's big, goofy golden retriever. He would do wonderfully in a home with another friendly pet to be his buddy.

He is everything you'd want in a kitten-curious, confident, playful, and just the right amount of mischievous. He loves toys, wrestling with his friends, and exploring his world. But he also has the sweetest snuggly side-his favorite place is tucked under the covers or curled up against your chest.

Because of his past injuries, Fig does have some lasting effects. He has scar tissue on his lower body that causes a slight difference in how he moves, but it does not slow him down in his day-to-day life. He runs, plays, climbs, and keeps up just like any other kitten.

That said, his future family should be mindful that he may be more prone to mobility changes or arthritis as he gets older. Because of this, we are looking for a home that is committed to providing routine veterinary care and being proactive about his long-term comfort.

Fig doesn't see himself as different-and honestly, neither will you after spending five minutes with him.

He is joyful, resilient, and full of personality. His unique coat and scars are simply reminders of how strong he is and how far he's come.

Fig's ideal home:
A loving family ready for a playful, affectionate kitten
Another friendly pet would be a bonus!
Someone committed to keeping up with his long-term veterinary care

Fig has already overcome more than most. Now he's ready for the easy part-being loved for the rest of his life

We do require that all pets in applicants home are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccine series, and heartworm prevention.

Apply at www.pawsitivehope.org. To speed up the application process, please send vaccine records and verification of heartworm prevention of current pets to adoptions@pawsitivehope.org.
In addition, please call your veterinarian to give approval for us to contact them about current pets medical care.
