Fia's Story
POSTED 9/8/08: Fia has a sad story to tell. Fia is a 10 year old short haired torti (black with orange speckles). Fia was adopted by a women when she was about a year old and was just returned to rescue 3 days ago because her owner had a stoke and had to be moved into a nursing home up north. Fia and her buddy Saki were happy living with this woman and spent most of their time in her bedroom looking out the window or napping on her bed. Fia is a very independent girl and she has always been very shy. We fear that she may not get adopted because she is so shy and because she is now a senior herself. If you have a safe, quiet room for Fia to live out her senior days happily resting in the sun, please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com. She is currently in a foster home with Saki so we can get to know them more but this is only temporary. If you would like to foster her, please e-mail us. Prior to adoption all of our cats and kittens are vet checked, leukemia tested, fecal parasites tested and dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and treated for fleas and any other medical conditions that they may have. Our adoption fee is $100 to help cover some of the medical costs. There is no cost to foster.
