FEYRE's Story
FEYRE (pronounced Fayrah) means beautiful! Perfect name for this pretty kitty. She was found dumped near the shelter with the carrier left open. Naturally, she was terrified and did not want to be handled by anyone. But slowly she has gone from hiding and unfriendly, to being more available to accept pets, to actually, coming forward to be gently touched and petted. However, she can become over-stimulated and may lash out if the petter is not aware. She is easily startled but is starting to understand that no matter what was done to her in the past, she is now safe and loved. She still is working on trusting completely, sudden movement or noise will cause her to pull back and hiss or bite. but she comes forward to calm, soft voice and touch. FEYRE is young and should eventually be able to put the scary behind her and enjoy the security and love we and her future family will give her.

We do not know how FEYRE will be dogs but given her nervous nature and since she can become overstimulated, we do not recommend a home with Children! FEYRE has become fond of some of the docile, male cats in her room, so should be ok with non-aggressive cats. She is still adjusting to the shelter, but with patient, loving people who will give her time to find her comfort level, she should gain confidence and be the sweet kitty she is meant to be. Maybe you are her person?

DOB-07/2024 Entered Shelter-07/2025

If you would like to adopt FEYRE, please visit the shelter during Adoption Hours, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am to 1:00pm, or call 231-773-3030 for an appointment.
