Felix was a stray cat in Waverly that did not get claimed and does not have a microchip. He is a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty now. Felix is now up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and neutered.

Felix is about 2 years old as of April 2024. He is extremely friendly! He loves attention and to be petted. A total love. He is super easy going and chill. He likes to follow you around and be where you are. He does well with other cats. Felix gets along with every foster cat friend he has met. He is super submissive and tries to be everyone's friend. He has not been around dogs or children yet.

When found, his tail was very injured. We had the vet do surgery on it. He did lose most of his tail and now it is a small nub left.

We named him Felix because it means happy and fortunate.

7/13/23 UPDATE: So Felix is chill with other cats but that is after being set up in a room alone to adjust for 4 weeks and then having a baby gate put up for 2 weeks so he can meet who is on the other side of the door that way. After that is done, then slow introductions to the other cats in the home. This process takes 6 to 8 weeks, if you do not have time to do this then Felix is not the cat for you if you have other cats. He is a good boy alone too if you don't have other cats. Felix is sweet and loving to adult humans. A home without young children would be best because loud noises startle him in a new place and any cat that is terrified will bite.

Such a great cat! He would love a forever home!

Felix's adoption fee is $95.00.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
