Meet Felix
Felix is very playful and affectionate. If you sit on the bench in his room he comes by over and over to rub against you and will then hop right up to get attention. He is only 2 years old and is hoping to find a third and final home.
When his first family could not keep him (he had been found as a stray and they fostered him) a friend adopted him but he was too rough for their cats so that did not work out. We think Felix needs to be the only cat in his next home, He has lived with older children but we do not know if he ever lived with dogs.
Recently Felix had the rare chance to be the only cat in his room at the Shelter ( due to a great adoption weekend) and he was in heaven! He was much more outgoing, happy to play and have lots of handling by the staff. This showed us he would definitely prefer to be the only cat in the home.
To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering.
