One day I was visiting my friend and her dogs started barking at something. She went to investigate and found two three month old kittens had climbed as far up a small banana tree as they could to get away from her dogs. She scooped them up and brought them in the house. She thinks the neighbors don't fix their cats and just let them breed so it was probably a neighbor cat had kittens. I wonder how they survived for 3 months with so many chickens and dogs, and they were pretty skinny with bloated tummies. They also had patches of hair missing; one on Felix's tail, and four or five spots on Leenos back and tail.<br/><br/>My daughter's cat had died recently so our friend gave them to us even though we didn't want more pets at this time. So I brought them home and wanted to feed them up so they wouldn't be so skinny and I tried giving them eye medicine and ear medicine and diatomaceous earth in case of fleas. The first two weeks they mostly stayed in my house and cuddled with us and didn't have much energy to play. After that they started getting fatter and playing. They like other cats and chickens and dogs.<br/><br/>Felix would always purr when we pet him and he always wanted to be friendly and get attention. Leeno, who has the darker orange stripes on his head, liked to cuddle at first but then started running away more. He always went potty in the litter box however, and Felix didn't go in the litter box very often. They always lick themselves and keep very clean, which I thought was unusual for kittens without a mom. <br/><br/>After 5 weeks I couldn't care for them anymore and took them back to Leona's house. They got along with her two big dogs and chickens and cats, and loved being cuddly with her and got fed really well, all the kibbles and wet canned cat food they wanted. Since she already has two cats her mom said they couldn't have four cats. So I brought them to you. They were at Leona's house a week and a half. So when I gave them to you on January 7th they were about four and a half months.
