Hi, I'm Fathom I'm a 6-year-old big, handsome boy with a shy heart and a very gentle soul. I came to the shelter with a few other cats after our owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness. It was a big change for me, and I was pretty shut down at first - more of a "turtle in a shell" kind of guy. But with time, patience, and kindness, I've slowly started peeking out... and showing everyone just how sweet I really am.<br/><br/>I may take a little while to trust you, but once I know you're safe, I absolutely melt. Neck rubs are my favorite - scratch me right there and I'll lean all the way in like I've been waiting for it my whole life. Having other feline friends around makes me feel so much more comfortable, so I'd really love a home with another cat. I'm not sure how I feel about dogs just yet, but that's something we could test. I think I'd do well with kids too, as long as they go very slow with me in the beginning and let me build confidence at my own pace.<br/><br/>I'm neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped - ready for a quiet, loving home where I can fully come out of my shell.
