Fat Baby's Story

Dont let the name—or the tiny frame—fool you. Fat Baby is a tortoiseshell force of nature. While she might look like a perpetual kitten, she packs enough "tortitude" to fill a room twice her size.

Fat Baby was born with Manx Syndrome, a condition that resulted in her signature compact stature and a uniquely twisted rear leg. Because of her anatomy, she requires a little extra manual help to stay clean and healthy (yes, she needs bladder and bowel expression daily), and she will grumble all the way through it. She knows shes royalty, and royalty requires a dedicated staff to keep things from getting messy.

Fat Baby doesn't do "middle ground." Her internal compass flips between two distinct modes:
The Tiny Terror: One moment, shes a fierce predator, testing the strength of your index finger with a playful (but firm) gnaw. Shes tough, resilient, and won't let a little thing like a twisted leg stop her from showing you whos boss.
The Cuddle Bug: The second the "hunting" itch is scratched, she transforms into a purring pile of mush, demanding cuddles and warmth as if the previous finger-nibbling incident never happened.

Fat Baby is a discerning socialite. She has a high standard for her roommates:
Felines: Shes happy to hang with other cats, provided they respect her space and don't mistake her size for weakness.
Canines: She is perfectly content sharing a home with dogs, as long as they follow her number one rule: ignore me. As far as shes concerned, dogs are just large, walking pieces of furniture.
She may be small, and she may have a "special" chassis, but Fat Baby is living proof that a little bit of sass goes a long way.

Est. DOB October 2025, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. A grade 1 heart murmur was observed during exam but there are no signs of heart disease. Murmurs are common in young kittens and are often outgrown by one year of age.

Please note that the Misfit Felines policy requires that young kittens will either need a sibling to go home with or there must be another playful/young feline already in the home.

Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our pet store partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and/or All Paws).

Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.

Apply: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MFR/Cat
