Farah nka Blu's Story
Farah came to us on a spay/neuter day when we learned they were headed to an undetermined barn home. The kittens were young enough that we felt inclined to offer placement for them to find them indoor homes instead. They were originally fostered through Crazy Cat Crew in Stanley. We are thankful for our relationship with Robyn of Crazy Cat Crew for what we are able to do together for the benefit of North Dakota kitties! Farah came in with her sister, Fiana, who was much more social than Farah. Fiana has since been adopted which has helped Farah come out of her shell. She is quite the talker when she wants something now. Farah loves other cats and will need a patient adopter to understand she is still learning about what life looks like living indoors. This means new sounds can sometimes spook her and sometimes she isn't interested in being pet or held. She has learned that petting and snuggling does feel nice though and will tolerate short spurts of it. If spooked, she may leap from your arms suddenly. Farah is already spayed and will only need a couple booster vaccines that AEL covers the cost of. Farah also loves playing with cat grass. She plucks it out of the pot! Farah has been around animal-savvy children as young as 9yo and should be in a home with all family members understanding of her background so that her space is respected when she asks for it. She seems to do best for nail trims in a 'kitty burrito'. A family that is comfortable handling slightly 'spicy' kitties would be most suitable for Farah since she still is learning about life in the human world. Our adoption process is simple, relationship-centered, and provides supportive education. You can expect your adoption interest to go like this:
1. Submit your electronic form
2. An AEL representative will contact you to schedule a phone call or adoption counsel session.
3. Come to your adoption counsel session to meet the pet you're interested in and ready to take them home with you (dependent on the pet, some need more than one meet)
4. If the pet is determined to be a good fit with your family by both you and the AEL representative, you will sign your contract, submit your adoption payment, and take your new friend home!

Let us know you're interested here: http://tinyurl.com/AELadoptionsquad
