Fancy's Story

Hello- my name is Fancy. I was taken to the vet office with a hurt paw. They found a rubber band tightly wound around my paw- cutting off circulation. The Doctor took care of it and got my foot all better- but then my owner decided they didn't want me anymore and surrendered me. Thankfully, the kind people at GOFAR have taken me in and are helping me find a new home and family to love. I am a 6 month old beautiful long haired kitten. I am a little shy at first because I am still confused with everything that is going on, but I really like the cuddling I've been getting here at the rescue! My foot has healed and the hair is slowly growing back. I am up to date on my vaccinations and am now spayed and I am FIV/FELV negative as well. Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue, Inc's Adoption Policy

1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
