Evie's Story
EVIE, (f/k/a Europe #177875) came to Place For Cats from NYC ACC's Special Needs list a year or so ago. This stunning, playful, sweet, ornery snowshoe tortoiseshell had been surrendered to ACC with a fractured leg! As a result ACC could not put her on their own adoption roster.

We took Evie to the Animal Medical Center right away where it was determined that the fracture already was healing. Today she runs and plays and gets into mischief like all other kitties who never had a fracture. Evie is very energetic and loves to bat toys about. She also loves to sleep in all kinds of hidey-huts, bags, boxes, you-name-it. If it's something into which she can hop, curl up and go to sleep, she loves it.

The Animal Medical Center vets believe, however, that Evie is a possible candidate for arthritis in the previously injured joint. They opined that it can happen anytime during adulthood, or, it might not occur at all. If arthritis becomes the case, there is an operation that can be done to remedy the problem though it will be costly. Applicants for this kitty may want to consider this when applying. Of course, the AMC vet's report, x-rays and diagnostics are available for review by prospective adopters.

At this time, Evie has absolutely no mobility issue whatsoever. Evie is in excellent heath. She is FeLV/FIV tested negative, current in vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Evie should go to a home with another playful young adult, preferably an equally rambunctious neutered male. She thrives on the companionship of foster-mates and is not particularly a lap cat but comes around for pets.

While we are eager to meet all prospective adopters, we request to receive your application in advance of scheduling a meet-and-greet with the foster home.
Place For Cats' adoption application can be downloaded here: https://placeforcats.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/PFC-Adoption-Application.pdf

Please print, complete, sign, scan and return your application to us at placeforcatsinc@verizon.net

Additionally, along with your completed application, please write a few sentences telling us about yourself and why you believe Evie will be a good match for you and your household.

Adopters agree to a $175 adoption fee and a home visit.
