Eugene's Story
Eugene is a fuzzy little scene-stealer with a personality as special as his looks. We originally named him Eugenia, but after a surprising vet visit, we learned he’s actually a rare male tortoiseshell kitten—and yes, he’s just as unique as that sounds.

Eugene is friendly, cuddly, and delightfully goofy. He meows back when you greet him, launches over-the-top attacks on toy mice, and treats heated blankets like five-star luxury. Brave and curious, he loves exploring and squeezing into tiny dark hiding spots, popping out like a surprise when you least expect it.

He’s wonderful with kids and other cats, playful without being wild, and full of sweet kitten energy. Eugene is the kind of kitten who makes you laugh daily and then curls up for a nap right after. Eugene was born early October 2025.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Eugene, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com.
