Etta's Story

Etta is a year and a half to 2 years old. She had a hard life living outside before coming to the shelter, and she's really enjoying the warmth, and comfyness of being inside. She's a very friendly girl who is gentle and loves attention. She seems to get along with other cats. We just moved her into our community cat room into a kennel where she can see the other cats roaming. As soon as we have more information on her temperament with other cats, we will update. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and is FIV/FeLV tested negative. She has also had flea treatment and been dewormed. Ogemaw County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
-Cats are same day adoptions. -Dogs are NOT same day adoptions. -We require home visits with the dogs. This means you take the dog home for about a week to ensure that dog is a good fit for your life. Adoptions can be finalized after the home visit is complete. We understand some people are not local, and we can work around that to accommodate the needs of all parties involved. -Meet and greets are required for any dog adoptions where there is already a dog in the home. -CAT ADOPTIONS REQUIRE CARRIERS TO LEAVE THE BUILDING! -DOG ADOPTIONS REQUIRE A LEASH TO LEAVE THE BUILDING!
