Estelle's Story
Estelle is a very special girl that is looking for an equally special home. She came to us when she was at high risk of behavioral euthanasia at a neighboring overcrowded facility. Estelle was very overwhelmed at that facility & she protected herself through defense mechanisms of hissing, growling and swatting. But, we knew that all she needed to thrive was time, patience and exercise.

Estelle is an absolutely gorgeous cat, but her home must not have children, dogs or a dominate cat. She does great with kittens and laid back cats, respectful and cat savvy adults and a structured routine. Estelle absolutely loves to play. She loves chasing toys, the cat dancer and other kittens. When she gets going, watch out, because she goes so fast she can hardly stop herself!

Estelle most certainly appears to be a seal point Siamese but as a stray, we are not considering her purebred and she should not be considered hypoallergenic. Her family not only needs cat experience but they need a strong positive vet history.

Estelle will take awhile to get acclimated to her new home and applicants must, in detail, explain how they would get her acclimated and help her decompress. When she gets overstimulated, she lets you know and needs a family that will respect her boundaries.

To assist her, Estelle has Fluoxetine administered transdermal daily. This is approximately $60/month and her family must acknowledge that they are prepared for this in their application.

Estelle will need a quiet environment to help her adjust to home life, then like a true Siamese, she will blossom into the most loyal companion one could ask for. She is approximately 6 years old with a lot of love to give and energy to play. She has asthmatic lungs and a partially collapsed trachea, so maintaining a healthy weight for her is key. She does not need medical intervention at this time, but her family should be prepared for future cares.

Please email Adopt@BetterTogetherRescue.org with any questions. If you would like to meet Estelle please fill out an adoption application that can be found at: www.bettertogetherrescue.org
