Ernie's Story
Ladies and Gentlemen, your Prince Charming has arrived...and his name is ERNIE! ERNIE is a handsome chocolate brown tabby mixed with snow-white fur accenting his face, proud chest, underside and paws. Ernie is estimated to be around 5 years old.

Ernie was brought to our cat center by a Good Samaritan who (with the help of others in the neighborhood) had noticed this friendly stray limping. The group of good-hearted people worked together to gain ERNIE'S trust and kept him safe till they could get him to PWCCC. Upon arrival, it was apparent ERNIE needed some good old TLC. His skin was scabby from scratching. He had multiple scratches on his face which we often see and is typical from males fending for themselves trying to survive the street life on their own. ERNIE had a minor injury on his front right arm. We immediately shipped ERNIE off to one of our partner veterinary medical facilities for Xrays, and he managed to win over the entire vet staff who all fell under his captivating spell! Luckily, ERNIE was given some anti-inflammatories, antibiotics and a healthy dose of cage rest, and within no time, his boo-boo is resolving, and this resilient guy is ready to live his best life. ERNIE is FIV positive which is no biggie as long as he lives the indoor-only life from now on, maintains a quality diet, and sees a vet for annual checkups. Don't let the former tough-guy exterior fool you, ERNIE is so friendly, gentle, and such a softie...all he wants to do is show you love and be loved. He enjoys playtime, naptime, cuddle time, being pet and all the affection and attention you have to give. This brave boy deserves the world...maybe it's you who make his dream a reality!

Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FeLV tested negative, FIV tested POSITIVE, Flea preventative applied and Microchipped.

If you would like to meet ERNIE, or any of our adoptable cats or kittens, please fill out an Adoption Form found in the link: https://pawswatch.org/adoptions/
