Ermac's Story

Update: Ermac is all grown up and SO HANSDOME!

And he’s not really changed. He is still skittish, still hissy, still adorable, and still gentle in nature. He still lets us love on him if he thinks there are no witnesses, but only for a few seconds.

His 4 littermates ended up blooming into social, affectionate cats who are good with people, but not Ermac. He made a decision and by golly he’s sticking to it. Some might call that stubborn, but we call it sticking to his guns.

And that’s ok. Ermac is still lovely in his own unique way. He makes buddies with every cat he meets at Purrs. He’s a wonderful friend to our social and anti-social cats alike. He’s also playful, healthy, and adventurous when the humans leave for the day.

We think Ermac will make a GREAT companion for a cat that needs a friend and a human who likes a challenge. Ermac might not care for people, but he’ll make sure his kitty companions are always warm and never lonely. He’ll play with them, chase them, talk to them and go on midnight adventures with them on top of the bookshelves.

And maybe, in the right home, with the right people, he may just learn that people can be cool too.

…………………………..

Ermac is a very shy but very sweet little black kitten.

He is still getting used to people. Despite hissing at every hand that approaches him, he completely melts the moment it delivers scritches. Ermac is food motivated and doesn’t want to admit that he loves cuddles. He is incredibly social with other cats and *really* wants to be adopted with a littermate or cat he is friends with. He is intent on making a bad first impression, but don’t let it fool you. We can all tell he is just a widdle baby.

DOB 9/30/24
UTD on shots & fixed
