Enya's Story

Enya is a loving little old lady with a heart as soft as her fur. At 16 years young, she's the kind of cat who doesn't ask for much - just a cozy spot to nap, a human to snuggle, and someone to give her gentle head scratches (preferably on demand).

She has the most charming little quirks, like her croaky old-lady meow when it's time for breakfast and her funny little bunny-hop down the stairs. Every morning, she'll sit quietly next to you while you get ready, happy just to be nearby. She's gentle and affectionate, often gently tapping your arm with a paw when she wants a few head scratches. Her favorite time of day may actually be taking her twice daily medicine because she knows it comes with a treat and extra attention.
She's a world-class cuddler, always happy to curl up next to you on the couch while you unwind or on your lap at dinner (don't worry, she's far too polite to try to steal a bite). She'll even put both paws up on your chair and meow to be picked up like the little queen she is.

Enya was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD), mild Hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland), and arthritis, which are all fairly common in senior kitties. To keep her kidneys operating as best as they can, she's eating a kidney support diet, which she'll go home with a month's supply of when she's adopted! She also takes a tiny daily pill to keep her thyroid functioning at optimum levels. For her arthritis, Enya has been getting monthly Solensia injections at our clinic- and she's been feeling so much more comfortable as a result!

Enya may be in her golden years, but she has so much love left to give. She doesn't need tons of toys or stimulation - just a calm home and someone to love her through her golden. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion, Enya is ready to spend her retirement by your side.

**Enya has a care package! She can go home with 3 months' worth of her medication!**

------------------------------------

This cat is currently located in a PAWS foster home. Please email their foster parent at kdaneg@gmail.com to learn more about them!

In order to meet with any cats in foster care, you will need to have an approved application first. To get the adoption process started, please submit an adoption application online at phillypaws.org/catapp. If you have any questions for our adoption team, feel free to email adoptions@phillypaws.org or call 215-238-9901 ext. 30.
