Ender's Story
Ender in Turkish translates to “rare, unusual, exceptional” all of which perfectly describe four-year-old Ender!

Rare: He is a male tortoiseshell making him roughly 1 in 3000 to exist! Quite rare indeed! Male tortoiseshells are hard to come by and truly the unicorns of the cat world!

Unusual: Ender has quite the unusual personality making him the perfect companion for someone who is looking for a buddy who is a bit ‘unconventional.' Ender has a seizure disorder that is managed well with daily medications and regular vet visits but because of this he has quite the unique personality. Ender lives in his own little world. He orbits around and comes to for meals and playtime. When we say ‘orbiting’ we mean it. He often walks around in circles for his own entertainment. His way of playing is as unique as he is! Ender likes to pick up toys and stand still with them. He likes to catch dust and shadows and occasionally gets the zoomies though those are short lived. One of his other favorite past times is staring at the wall. Ender hopes that his new home comes with nice walls to look at!

Exceptional: Ender is an exceptional cat! He has overcome many challenges and yet continues to be the rescue's ‘silly little guy.' Watching Ender come into his own has been a privilege. From arriving with no vetting and active seizures multiple times a day plus having a paw injury resulting in a toe amputation. To having his disorder under control and getting to see him learn to come into his own even if it’s a little bit out of the box is truly a blessing.

Now we want to pass that blessing onto a medical foster or adopter. With daily medication and routine vet visits Ender has been able to live a semi normal life though he has a few limitations such as coordination. He deserves (like all our cats) a chance to find a home. A chance to live a ‘normal’ life outside the rescue.
