Emma's Story

Emma is a 1.5 year old cat who came to us from the Associated Humane Society of Newark in October 2024! Emma was original picked up as a stray cat in Middlesex County, which is how she made her way to the shelter in Newark.

Emma has been vaccinated, spayed, treated for fleas/ticks/mites, and microchipped to our organization.

She is currently being fostered in Jersey City, NJ. You will be required to meet her at our foster's home, unless you meet her at an adoption event. If you’re interested in welcoming Emma into your home, please complete our adoption application!

Emma is a playful, friendly, cuddly cat but she would like to be the only pet in the home. She is not a fan of other cats, dogs, or small children. She would do best in a home where older children or adults understand cat behaviors.

*We only adopt to homes within New Jersey and require that adopters live approximately within one hour of our two home bases in North Bergen and Florham Park. While travel time is a general guideline, applications may still be denied if the distance in miles is too far, even if technically within an hour, due to limitations in transport and post-adoption support.
