If you are looking for a perfect combo of super snuggler with crazy playful, and with the best purr, Emily is your girl! She is a beautiful dilute calico. She's friendly, adores her people, is very playful and loves toys, and wishes she was in a home. Emily hasn't made up her mind if she likes other cats or not. We do put her in the playroom with others because she turtles and she tends to sit in the corner worried the whole time. When other cats approach, she hisses. She isn't mean or aggressive with them but doesn't trust them. We think with proper introduction and friendly respectful cats, Emily will do well. Emily is 11 months old and has been with us all her kitten months. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. We hope you will give her the chance to become friends and she is sure to bring lots of entertainment! C.A.R.A (Citizens for Animal Rescue and Adoption)'s Adoption Policy

Please email citizensanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application or use our online link. Once an application is approved you will be contacted to set up an appointment to visit the animals. If you let us know what you have in mind (age, gender, personality), we'll have several ready to meet. We are open to the public Monday-Friday 1-4PM and Saturday/other times by appointment. Please call 217-655-4353 or 217-799-8858 for appointments and questions. After you've met and decided on the pet for you, you will fill out the final paperwork and you will be able to take your pet home. All adopters must be able to meet and pick up their pet as we do not offer transportation. All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

C.A.R.A. is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit, No Kill animal shelter and rescue for homeless, injured/neglected or surrendered animals. Through community donations we are able to provide high quality care and rehabilitation for animals in our care.
