Emil's Story

On March 22, 2026, we received a call from a woman in Paterson looking for help with a litter of kittens who were outside on her porch and didn't know where the mother was. We knew there was a big storm coming and even though we did not have space, we agreed to take them in and started to network to arrange transport.

That evening we received 5 kittens, no more than 4 weeks old, who were cold, filthy, malnourished and covered in ringworm. Immediately upon arrival, there were all bathed in medicated ringworm shampoo, syringe fed & and placed in a warm, comfy bed with a heat disc underneath. Unfortunately, even with round the clock care, exactly one week later, on Palm Sunday, we lost one of the littlest ones.

We are so grateful the other 4 have survived and are thriving. It's been a very long road. Most of their fur has grown back and will continue to do so.

Emil is a brown/grey tabby with some white. He is confident and independent and loves to roughhouse with his siblings.

Alrik is mostly white with brown/grey tabby striping. He is curious but shy. He will purr when held and loves to play with his siblings.

Oskar is black and white. He is confident, sweet, playful, quick to purr and seeks out human companionship.

Lina (the only girl) is mostly white with brown/grey tabby striping and is the runt of the litter. She is sweet, curious, and playful.

Approximate DOB - 02/22/26

Up to date on vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative.

You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. If you live in a parent or guardian's home, they must complete the application. An application does not guarantee an adoption. Our cats and kittens are not adopted on a first come, first served basis, but whom we feel would be the best fit for our cats and kittens.

If interested please e-mail us at Chanceatliferescue@gmail.com or download an application from our websitehttp://www.chanceatlifecatrescue.com/.
