She was originally spayed and vaccinated through a TNR program, but her rescuers quickly realized she was far too friendly to return to the streets. Since October 2025, she has been living safely indoors, where her calm and affectionate personality has really shined.<br/><br/>Emerald is wonderfully loving and super friendly. Now that she feels comfortable, she’s become quite talkative and social. She’ll happily let just about anyone pet her—especially if they come bearing a treat! If you call her, she’ll come trotting right over for pets and will often follow her person around, enjoying their company. While she’s not quite a lap cat yet, she loves being nearby and sharing space with her humans.<br/><br/>She does very well with other cats and is also great with kids, making her an easy fit for many types of families. One quirky thing about Emerald: although she loves being petted and enjoys soft things like beds and blankets, she actually prefers sleeping on hardwood floors—for now!
