Detroit MI<br/> <br/>Blaze and Ember, approximately 9-month old, spayed female bengals, were surrendered with their father, Azar, to Great Lakes Bengal Rescue (GLBR) because their family could no longer care for them. Their mother and two other kittens from the same litter were surrendered to GLBR in October 2025 and adopted by their forever families earlier this year.<br/> <br/>Heres what we know about Blaze and Ember after 3 weeks in their foster home: They are FeLV/FIV negative. Both are up-to-date on well check and on rabies and FVRCP vaccines.<br/> <br/>Their litterbox habits are excellent. Neither has been declawed.<br/> <br/>These young ladies were shy at first, Ember more so that Blaze. They are now very friendly with their foster dad -- seeking his attention for pets, comfortable sleeping on his bed. Like many bengals, they do not love being picked up, at least not yet. Both like soft food with gravy (not pate) and kibble.<br/> <br/>As expected, Blaze and Ember get along well with Azar. They spent some time with their mother before being separated from her.
