Ember's Story
Ember is an adorable teenage kitten (~7 months) with big wide eyes and a, shall we say, diminutive stature. OK, she kind of looks like a potato with legs. Very very short legs. If you've ever wanted the feline version of a corgi or a dachshund, Ember is your girl. Call her a "Munchkin mix!"

We'll never know what level of inbreeding led to such an, um, interesting conformation, but it just makes Ember all the more endearing. She was found living in a vacant house with some feral cats in Southwest Baltimore, but must not have been there very long because once caught, she was immediately purring and cuddly.

Ember has super soft fur and is very chatty and playful. But for a kitten, she's relatively calm. She's in remarkably good health, considering where she came from! She likes to be held and has a great little purr motor.

She's a bit on the timid side, but warms up very quickly. She's been getting acquainted with the other cats in her foster home and although she's sometimes a bit suspicious, she likes to have a playmate! Although she hasn't been a big fan of the rough-and-tumble wrestling style of play of some of her older foster "brothers," so might prefer a more laid-back friend. She's also currently living with a very chill, cat-friendly dog, so she would likely be OK with other dogs, with slow introductions.

Ember is not part of Walter Rescue, but is being listed here as a courtesy.
