Elvis's Story
This big beautiful three year old grey boy is Elvis. His story is a lesson to everyone. Elvis won the lottery when he stumbled into the property of one of our volunteers. We don't know where he came from, if he was dumped or had just gotten lost. What we did know is all the feral male cats in the neighborhood were beating him up to the point he had a huge open wound on the side of his face the size of a quarter. Our volunteer started to befriend him so that she could put meds on his wound and get him in a carrier. It took awhile and he was very combative at times, mostly because he was scared. Once trapped he went right to the vet to be neutered and have his wound cleaned. At first we weren't sure how Elvis's story was going to end. Was he going to calm down and acclimate to indie life or was he going to be put back outside. Well as you can see he's up for adoption which means he turned a corner. It was not easy and took a couple months, but now Elvis loves his foster mom and usually begs for pets and butt scratches. You can't always judge a book by its cover and sometimes it just takes a little time and patience. At this time we believe he would be good as an only cat or with another older cat who won't try to bother him. He is neutered, vaccinated, FeLV/ FIV negative and is microchipped.

If you are interested in Elvis, please go to bfdaaa.com to complete an application.
