Elsa's Story

Meet Elsa - our beautiful CH princess who is looking for a safe place to land that'll adore her quirks and accept her in all of her classic beauty. Elsa has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which is a condition where the cerebellum, a part of the brain responsible for coordination, balance, and muscle control, is smaller than normal or underdeveloped. She is quite wobbly and needs support to move around in the world. A Good Samaritan found Elsa and her sister Olaf in a parking lot in Paterson and contacted rescue for assistance.

Elsa use the litter box regularly, but requires a litter box that is low on one side so she can easily get in and out. She uses pee pads instead of litter . Easy clean up- just change the pad once or twice daily. No litter to kick out of the box! Elsa currently eats Wellness by IAMS kitten food, 1/2 a can 2x daily. Elsa loves to play with Jingle bell balls, and she also enjoys crawling through the crinkle tunnels in her foster placement. She also loves crinkle balls and will bat at them as she moves by them.

Little Elsa LOVES everyone she meets, and will let anyone hold her for a snuggle. Elsa is also and absolute cuddlebug! She starts purring as soon as she sees her favorite person and continues to purr the whole time she is held. She loves napping on my lap and snuggling for hours. She is calm and docile and a very sweet kitty!. Elsa also LOVES her spa time! She doesnt mind nail trims at all and totally enjoys her warm baths.

On a lazy Sunday afternoon, after a spirited play time, Elsa is most content being held. She loves head scratches and lots of hugs and kisses. She plays with the resident dog and will occasionally nap with him. She is not yet spayed, but is currently up-to-date on vaccinations.

Additional information from her foster: Elsa has cerebellar Hypoplasia. It is a condition caused by a virus her momma was exposed to during pregnancy. She has issues with balance- making it difficult for her to walk. She also has a mild occasional head tremor. None of this is stopping her from doing all the normal kitten tasks. Elsa eats, plays and uses her litter box independently. She does need minimal assistance drinking water. Safety is a concern for kittens with CH- so she MUST be an indoor cat only. I highly recommend an enclosure to keep her safe when left unattended. No additional medical care is needed for these babies- just lots of love!!

APPLY TO ADOPT NOW!!

https://rosemariesrescueranch.com/cat-adoption/

In the Consideration section, under 'Application Notes', please tell us about yourself to help us get a feel for you and your family, and as a fit for the pet you are interested in.
