Elphaba (adoptable 1/30)'s Story
Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of The West, is through with her days of camping out in a tree and terrorizing MM and The Wizard and ready to settle down and live the quiet life wherever her forever home may be. She doesn't much care as long as whoever she's with is ready for a sassy, silly, loving little kitten like herself.
Elphaba came to me as a part of a conglomerate litter of 9 kittens (2 different mothers, who knows how many different fathers) who were being cared for by a woman in Orlando who successfully got them off the streets and safe from parasites, predators, and the other major life-threatening risks of outdoor life. But not long after taking them in, Elphaba developed severe eye issues and that prompted her finder reaching out to me for assistance. I ended up taking in all 9 kittens and getting Elphaba and her brother Brr, who were the worst of the 9, on eye drops and 2 rounds of oral antibiotics plus supportive care to get them over the hump of both feline herpes and feline bordetella as well as intestinal parasites and fleas. Suffice to say, Elphaba and co. had a rough start to life but have fully come round the bend and are ready to journey down the yellow brick road to their forever homes!
Elphie is a sweet, sassy little girl who loves to play and investigate. She will purr up a storm when given snuggles and loves playing with catnip and feather toys. She has already been spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV/HW, and gotten her first vaccines and will receive her boosters before being adoption ready at the end of January. Want to inquire about her now? Submit an application so you can come meet her and she can be put on hold for you!
NOTE: because of her age, Elphaba must be adopted either to a home with a preexisting cat or cats or go home alongside another cat from my rescue. This is nonnegotiable; young kittens need companionship to develop socially and physically.
