ELLIE MAY's Story

Ellie May is a 4 month old soft black kitten whose fur is soft and smooth as velvet. Her bright curious eyes are always watching the world with wonder! She seems to set off on a new adventure with each step she takes. She loves to play and jump and will make you laugh as she chases after a laser light or even a stray dust bunny! Little Ellie enjoys gentle play interactions and loves to nap in sunny spots. Ellie May has a sweet purr and is a calm and comforting presence. This little ball of fluff has a special way of making everything feel happier and brighter just by being there. Ellie May will be a loving and gentle companion and would especially love to live in a home that already has a cat or to be adopted with one of her siblings

Rhode Island Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy

We have a very detailed Adoption Application as well as an adoption coordinator system. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the adoption coordinator, vet records confirmed, residence status, renting/landlord information, pet permission, and employment verified then the coordinator conducts an interview with the potential adopter. If deemed a good match, the adoption coordinator forwards the information about the potential adopter to the foster. If the foster also agrees then they will have a meet and greet. At the completion of the meeting, if both parties agree the cat/kittens is a good fit an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee paid. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. All the cats and kittens in our care receive the following: checkup, spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, de-worming medicine, flea preventative, microchip, and Felv/FIV test.
