Ellie's Story
Meet Ellie!

Ellie is an extremely friendly girl who came to us all the way from North Carolina!

She was brought into a shelter as a stray that “walked funny.” To save her from sitting and in a shelter where she was stressed or an even worse fate of euthanasia we arranged for her to come to us.

Ellie was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Thankfully, she does not have the thin skin that these cats often have that tears easily. However, she does have the hyper-extendable joints. So occasionally on very slippery services will walk with her front legs bowed in and bent. On your normal hard floors and carpet she walks upright, but you can see her joints have just a little bit extra laxity at the wrists.

This condition is not progressive and does not require treatment of any sort. She is able to run and jump and do everything that your average cat can do!

She gets along with other cats, although she is not a cat that plays with other cats, but will entertain herself with toys. She also does perfectly fine in her foster home that has a large breed dog in a medium breed dog.

She is around two years old, has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated (Rabies, FVRCP, FeLV and Bordetella) and is on Nexgard COMBO monthly.

Her adoption fee is $100.

If you were interested in adopting her, please head on over to our website at www.fosteringfelines.com for more information on how to adopt and to access our adoption application!
