Ellen's Story

Ellen is a petite tuxedo girl with a gentle spirit and the sweetest little raspy meow. She originally came into care after being rescued by Fresno TNR from a large hoarding situation where many cats were struggling to survive both in overcrowded conditions and outdoors. Sadly, tensions in the neighborhood grew so high that some people resorted to poisoning the cats. Fresno TNR stepped in to save them, getting them spayed and seeking rescue placement, and Ellen eventually arrived at Valley Animal Center with a frightening note attached to her carrier that read "MAY DIE." Thankfully, once we stepped in and evaluated her, we discovered she was simply vitamin deficient from a lifetime without proper nutrition. With good food and care, Ellen has blossomed into a healthy, happy young lady. She's a shy girl at first, but with a few gentle pets and soft whispers she quickly warms up and will sweetly approach to ask for more attention. Ellen loves cozy naps, gets along well with other calm, docile cats, and enjoys being carried by the people she trusts. This polite little lady is ready for a quiet home where she can continue to feel safe, loved, and adored.

To view other cats or kittens available for adoption at Valley Animal Center, please visit https://valleyanimal.org/cats/. You may also find Valley Animal Center's adoption application there. Once you submit an adoption application, a cat care associate will review it and follow up with you as soon as possible.

Her adoption fee is $75 and includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, de-worm, flea treatment, and microchip ID.

Thank mew!
