Eleanor's Story

Meet Eleanor! Eleanor is a 6 month old (as of 11/2025) girl who is sweet and continues to come out of her (tortie) shell each day.

Eleanor is what we've been calling a quirky gal. She's shy, but curious, and likes sneakily following her foster family around. She's easily won over by Churu treats, and especially by playtime. She can't resist the sound of a jingly bell, and none of your cat toy purchases for her will be in vain. She's a laser pen and wand toy fiend and she makes impressive and not so graceful leaps to catch her prey. She loves a sunny window perch and a cozy blanket - and playing with other cats!

Eleanor is independent and likes interactions on her terms, yet she's always there, when you're cooking, when you're cleaning, curious from a distance and wandering over when she's ready. She particularly likes to hang out if you're working from home and tries to "help" if you're typing on your computer. She'll tell you she's ready for some pets by purring loudly out of nowhere. She likes to sleep on her foster mom's bed at night, quietly cuddling. With patience, she'll let you pick her up and will curl up in your arms. She's well mannered when getting her nails trimmed.

Eleanor is being fostered in a house with young kids. She tends to hide when they're being loud but does like to play with them when they're being less wild. Eleanor loves other cats and needs another cat in her new home to play with and help boost her confidence. The more playful, the better. Her foster brother is an adult cat who is much bigger than her and she absolutely loves him!

If you’re looking to bring some great kitten energy into your home, Eleanor is your girl.

Eleanor is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and is FIV/FeLV negative.

*To apply for Eleanor (please only apply if you have a playful cat or kitten at home!), please visit our website to view our adoption guidelines and fill out our application at catcallsrescue.org/adopt *

Catcalls Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please thoroughly read the following information about adopting a Catcalls Rescue cat/kitten before applying. Must be 21+ to apply. Fill out the form thoroughly. The more information you provide, the better! Incomplete forms will not be considered. Please do not apply on a whim! Out of consideration for the time and energy of our volunteers, we ask that you apply only when certain that you are ready and able to adopt. We cannot hold cats/kittens for adoption. Kittens do best when they have a friend! Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to homes with existing pets. All current pets in applicants’ homes must be spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. Cats in the home must be FIV/FeLV tested. Safety is a priority at Catcalls Rescue, so a virtual or in-person home check will be completed prior to adoption to make sure your furry friend will be safe and comfortable in their new environment! All Catcalls Rescue cats and kittens come with health records and are dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, and microchipped. Please note that due to a high volume of applications, you may not receive a response. We will reach out to applicants that are best suited for each feline within one week of receiving their application. **Emails asking us if we have received apps only slows up the process for everyone. We can't respond to those any faster than we can respond to a good application! Please keep that in mind! If you are the best fit for our kitties, you will absolutely hear from us! Thank you!**
