Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue<br/>Meow meet Eleanor! If you walk through the rescue, you might see her quietly perched on a cat tower, sunlight warming her stripped fur, eyes soft and hopeful. What you might not see at first glance is the lifetime of waiting behind those eyes. Eleanor has spent almost her entire life here. Seasons change outside the window she naps behind. Kittens have grown up and gone to their new homes. Other cats have been chosen, carried out in loving arms, starting their new chapters. And Eleanor has stayed. Patient. Gentle. Overlooked. We don’t know why! Because if love alone were enough she would have been gone long ago. Eleanor is the kind of cat who melts into your touch. The moment your hand reaches out, she leans in with complete trust. She craves the attention, the love. She adores to be pet - not just tolerated affection, but treasured, lingering strokes that make her purr deep from her chest. Her love is steady. Safe. Uncomplicated. Yet she is still here waiting for her person to see her. After all this time, she still clings to hope and believes in joy. Bring out a wand toy and watch her eyes light up. She bats and leaps with the sweetest enthusiasm. A laser dot will cause her to spring into action and chase it across the room with surprising speed. There is something heartbreakingly beautiful about the way she naps - stretched out, peaceful, as though she’s dreaming of a home she has never known. The rescue has been her world. She has the run of it, yes, but it has never been hers. It’s been a place of temporary goodbyes. A place where she watches the door, over and over. Eleanor isn’t flashy. She doesn’t demand attention. She simply offers her heart - fully, faithfully, without hesitation - and waits for someone to notice. Imagine being so loving - and never chosen. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted.<br/><br/>Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet.<br/><br/>Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.<br/><br/>No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.<br/><br/>We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.
