Elderweiss's Story
As beautiful as the flower she's named after, Elderweiss came to us from a hoarding case where around 40 cats were taken from the home. Even coming from such a difficult situation, Elderweiss is affectionate, friendly - and looking for her forever home!

Elderweiss is about a year old, so she's acclimating well to a more normal life. She's quiet, but that doesn't mean she wants you to walk by without giving her some love! She likes to be in a hidey hole where she feels safe, but all you have to do is offer your hand and give some pets and she will begin purring up a storm! She enjoys being pet and will even nuzzle into your hand. She would love to go home with another cat who can continue to help her grow and thrive in your home! But at the end of the day, all she really needs is love.

Elderweiss is currently in foster; we believe she has an autoimmune disorder which was worsening in the shelter environment. She is currently in a wonderful foster home, so please call ahead to make an appointment to meet this sweet girl and give her a chance to thrive! Elderweiss hasn't been around kids or dogs; everything is new for her, but we think if you take it slow and give her patience, she can acclimate to most homes. To meet this beautiful girl, fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.fatherjohns.org/adopt. You'll get an email to reply to in order to make an appointment. Appointments are required Weds/Fri. Walk ins are accepted with appointments preferred every other day.
