Birthdate: July 26, 2024<br/>ELAINA has velvety black fur, with one snowy white patch on her chest and two on her belly. <br/><br/>It's no surprise that "Laney" is very shy & skittish with new people and takes a long time to let her guard down. She came from a very tough start, one of a litter of 7 young black kittens abandoned outside before coming to our shelter. After the group moved to several different environments Laney is now benefitting from extra attention with her foster mom & her own cat and has become comfortable with them both. She is showing her playful & mischievous side, climbing, opening cupboards, observing the outdoors through the window. She loves catnip & watching wildlife tv shows. When ready for a rest Laney is very sweet and affectionate, nudging her foster mom for pets & curling up at her feet. <br/>It's understandable that her early experiences taught Elaina to be cautious. She needs a quiet, calm environment along with a patient adopter to help her feel safe enough to show her delightful personality. With the right human companion, Laney could be happy as a solo kitty but she would also enjoy the company of a gentle cat friend or two. <br/><br/>Send an INQUIRY for ELAINA who is currently living in a Guelph foster home.
