Elain's Story
Elain is the only one left from the Court of Thrones litter but she has now joined another FeLv+ kitty named Tripp who was rescued by the organization SCRATCH. She had never been alone before so we were happy to pair these 2 together. While they are still getting to know each other, we expect they will be best buddies in no time and we would love to adopt them into a home together. Elain and Tripp are currently in a foster home. Please contact us if you would like to meet this pair.

Elain and her litter tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLv). This means they are carriers of the feline leukemia virus but can still live long healthy lives. Life expectancy can be shorter than normal for some FeLv+ cats but it is truly variable with each individual cat because some are more affected by the virus than others. Either way, all of these precious cats deserve to have a happy life for as long as they can and we are committed to finding them the right home(s).

Each kitten has tested FeLv+ on 2 different occasions even though their mom has tested negative each time. We are assuming they will no longer clear the virus, but they are currently very healthy, happy and ready for adoption. These are truly some of the sweetest kittens you will ever meet!

Guidelines for adopting an FeLv+ cat:

1) Must be the only cat in the home or go to a home with other FeLv+ cats (or ones that are vaccinated against FeLv).

2) Must be INDOOR ONLY

For more information about Feline Leukemia go to: https://www.aspcapro.org/resource/feline-leukemia-virus-felv

Also, watch this <3 minute video where a vet explains FeLv: https://spcawake.org/felv-cats/

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $50 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for FELV/FIV, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.

If you are interested in this pet, please fill out our ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://bit.ly/3HN4Tqq

Visit our website at www.PetPlacementCenter.com
