Eggs's Story

Hi, I'm Eggs... and I'm still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. I grew up here at the shelter, and because I'm a shy guy, it's taken me a little extra time to feel brave. But guess what? I *am* slowly learning to trust--especially if you happen to have treats. Treats are my love language.

I live with some confident adult cats who are showing me the ropes and teaching me that humans can be gentle, kind, and worth getting to know. Every day I take a few more steps forward, and I'm hoping to find a patient, loving home where I can keep blossoming at my own pace.

If you've got a quiet space, a soft spot for shy souls, and a pocket full of treats... I think we could be perfect for each other. ❤️🐾

Cape Coral Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
We use a counseling approach to finding forever homes for the animals in our care. We screen our applicants but try not to create barriers to adoption. In three years of operation, we found homes for over 3,500 animals with only 12 kennels and 3 cat rooms. Communication with adopters is a huge part of our operations.
