Egg's Story

Egg is an all-black 7 month old (as of 12/2025) catten, with the sweetest, sunny side up disposition. He was a little shy at first, but is coming out of his shell and cracks us up on the daily! He loves being right up in the mix, and is incredibly playful, but also loves a good cuddle and has the most EGG-ceptional snuggles. He is possibly the most affectionate foster I’ve ever met!

Despite his name, he’s not a deviled Egg, he is very well behaved and does not munch on my (many) plants, or hop up onto counter tops or tables. I haven’t caught him scratching any furniture, and he loves his big scratching post. He does like to play, and sometimes his little murder mittens will get you, but we’ve been keeping that in check with regular claw trimmings, and he loves being pampered!

Egg has a very healthy appetite (because of all the egg-ercise he gets) for all foods, human food included, so you will have to watch him a little closely, or he will try to steal your nachos (true story) and possibly make himself sick. He also loves all things cat treats and savory salmon temptations are his favorite, along with squeeze treats.

Egg is pretty fearless, but the vacuum still scares him a little. He will need to be in a household with another cat. He gets along amazingly with his foster brother, Loki who is about three times his size. Egg didn’t bat an eye though and they were running around playing within the week that he was fostered.

Egg is also a smart little guy! He actually plays fetch like a dog! Don’t believe us, check out the video!! Your days of getting up off the couch to throw the toy for your cat is over with Egg, he’ll bring it right to you!

You should definitely hatch a plan to put all your eggs in one basket and adopt this special little guy!

Egg is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is FIV/FeLV negative

*To apply for Egg (you must have a friendly cat or kitten at home!), please visit our website to view our adoption guidelines and fill out our application at catcallsrescue.org/adopt *
