Effie's Story

Effie and her siblings Ekko and Ester are sweet, playful kittens born Feb. 22 when they were rescued with their mom shortly before the arrival of a pending snowstorm. They are still too little to be spayed/neutered but are available on a foster-to-adopt basis if you live within an hour's drive of Dover, Del. and are willing to drive them back to Dover for their vaccine and surgery appointments. If not adopted with a sibling, they must go to homes where they will have the companionship of another friendly, young cat.

Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
We are a small, volunteer-run, foster-based private rescue. All of our cats have been fostered in private homes and will never go up for adoption straight off the street. We know their personalities and preferences, likes and dislikes, and any special needs they may have. This information helps us to ensure that each cat is matched with the perfect family during the adoption process. While our adoption process is more intricate than that of some other organizations, our goal is to make sure our cats are placed in the best possible lifelong homes. Some of our cats live in an adoption center at the Dover, Del. PetSmart, while others are in foster homes. We can set up meetings with individual cats following approval of an adoption application. Our adoption application and full list of adoption policies can be found here: https://www.purrfecthavencatrescue.org/adoption-form Our standard cat adoption fee is $100 for adult cats and $125 for kittens under the age of one year. For purebred and purebred/purebred-cross cats our fees range from $150-$250.
