Edgar is a neutered, short-haired all black male, about 8 years old. He is being rehomed through ACAT's Lending A Helping Paw (LAP) program. Edgar's family's dynamic has changed, and Edgar has not adjusted to having a baby in the home. As a LAP kitty, his owners will make the adoption arrangements. Edgar is very playful when other cats aren't around. He's rather independent, . He likes affection on his terms, doesn't love being picked up and held for very long. Edgar likes to hang out in the bathroom when you shower. He used to be an indoor/outdoor cat and is a good hunter. He has shown no love for dogs. Edgar would do best in a house where he is the only pet. He is gentle with kids but will steal food. He is VERY interested in human food. He likely needs his vaccinations updated, but he has been given regular care. There is an adoption fee for ACAT homings, and a spay/neuter deposit required for young kittens. ACAT adopts only within the state of Alaska, and there are restrictions to adoptions to some areas of Alaska. All adoptions must be done in person. ACAT allows no declawing of its felines. All ACAT kitties must be altered. ACAT reserves the right to refuse to adopt to anyone.
