Edgar Allan Poe's Story
Edgar Allan Poe is a charming brown tabby/Domestic Short Hair with a curious spirit and a heart full of potential. He’s a wily little boy who secretly believes the world is one big playground—especially once the lights are low and the house is quiet. Edgar is a true night owl, confidently exploring, playing, and chasing his beloved laser pointer when things feel calm and safe.

At first, Edgar can be shy and easily startled by sudden movements or loud noises. He’s a slow-to-relax, sensitive soul—but once he decides you’re his person, the reward is instant purrs and growing trust every single time you sit with him. With patience and gentle love, Edgar has all the makings of a total sweetheart (and future lap cat!) who will happily soak up affection on his own terms.

Edgar has a playful, mischievous side too—don’t be surprised if he tries to climb onto your shoulder or gently bat at your shirt when he’s feeling brave and silly. He thrives in a calm home with older children who understand respectful pet interactions, but he’s not suited for households with toddlers. He does well with other cats after proper introductions and may be able to adjust to dogs with time and care.

His greatest comfort comes from his best friend and sister, Shiloh. The two are often found snuggled together—preferably on a cozy heating pad—where Edgar feels safest and most content. Because of their strong bond, Edgar must be adopted with Shiloh.

If you’re a patient, loving human who believes the best relationships are built on trust, Edgar Allan Poe is ready to slowly—but surely—steal your heart.

Edgar is fully vetted, was born approximately March 14, 2024, has an adoption fee of $90, and can be adopted outside the immediate Tulsa area. You can apply online here (please read all requirements prior to applying): https://arftulsa.wufoo.com/forms/arf-cat-adoption-application/

Note: ARF reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal.
