Edamame's Story

Edamame came to us from Cleveland, TX, a notoriously tough place for cats trying to survive on their own. She was originally trapped for a TNR program, but the moment she woke up from surgery, she proved she was far too sweet to go back outside. This girl wanted love!

Once safe in foster care, it became clear why she was so thin and fragile: Edamame was quickly diagnosed with FIP. She began treatment right away, and this brave little bean fought her way back to full health. She has fully completed treatment and passed her 90-day observation period with flying colors — meaning she’s doing wonderfully and is very unlikely to relapse.

Today, Edamame is a healthy, affectionate, gentle young cat who just wants someone to love.

She can be a little shy when she first meets new people, but once she feels safe? She blossoms. Edamame is a world-class snuggler — she loves to curl up on your chest, tuck herself under your arm, and she will happily spoon you all night long if you let her. She truly just wants to be close.

She’s wonderful with other cats and would love a feline friend. She also does fine with cat-friendly dogs — she’s polite and tolerant — but she saves her real cuddles for humans and cats. She’ll play with toys now and then, but honestly? Snuggling is her #1 hobby.

If you want a gentle, loving, loyal little companion who wants nothing more than to be your bedtime buddy, Edamame is your girl.

Shes a little under 1 year old

Edamame is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, FeLV/FIV/HW tested (negative), and on flea and tick prevention.

To meet this sweetie please submit an application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPPL/Cat.
